This section answers questions from people who are just discovering MAI Skin and want to understand how to start using personalised skincare.
First, take our short skincare consultation – send us a photo of your facial skin and answer a few questions about your complexion, environmental conditions, lifestyle and skincare habits. Our algorithms will diagnose the condition of your skin and select the best skincare plan and cosmetic formulas for your MAI Trio.
That’s the work of our MAI Skin Analysis – a proprietary AI-based system that processes your consultation answers together with information read from a photo of your skin to select optimal cosmetic formulas.
We built it together with dermatologists, cosmetologists, skin imaging specialists and leading AI experts.
In just a few minutes, without leaving home, the MAI Skin Analysis simulates a visit to a specialist and performs a multidimensional analysis of your skin:
- Visual Analysis: identifies key parameters and characteristics of your skin directly from the photo.
- Expert Analysis: processes survey data covering your lifestyle, environment, skin concerns and skincare goals.
Based on this comprehensive analysis, the system selects the optimal MAI Skin care plan and recommends cosmetic formulas tailored to your individual needs.
Our system is constantly evolving. The database of ingredients and formulas grows with the data we gather from our users. The more feedback you give us, the more accurate our algorithm becomes – so you (and other users) can receive even better-matched products over time.
You can’t make something tailor-made without precise measurements. Without information about your complexion, lifestyle and other factors, we can’t choose the optimal cosmetics for your personalised MAI Trio.
Remember that to match your formulas well we need honest, truthful answers.
We also offer universal products that complement personalised skincare and can be bought without going through the MAI Skin Analysis. You’ll find them in the Products tab. However, our personalised products are what set us apart.
Once the consultation and MAI Skin Analysis are complete, you can see the results and skincare recommendations and order your individual 3-piece MAI Trio set. We then finalise your products and send them straight to you.
From that point you can start using the app, which will guide you through your skincare plan and motivate you to take care of your skin via the MAI Points loyalty programme.
Once is enough, but we encourage you to repeat the consultation before each order so our system can process the visual changes from the updated photo and refine its knowledge of your skin. Our algorithms, ingredient base and formula library are constantly evolving – just like our knowledge of you and your skin.

MAI Skin care is dynamic – your skin’s needs may change over time, and we are constantly developing our analytical technology and ingredient base.
In your next order you may receive:
- The same formulas, if they worked. If the products performed perfectly, we may simply repeat them.
- Slightly modified formulas, e.g. adapted to a change of season or climate, or improved thanks to our growing ingredient database.
- Entirely new formulas, if based on new analyses and your feedback we decide it’s time for new skincare goals.
Key principle: the more data you give us (including from app usage), the better and more precise the formula match to your skin’s current needs. Your skincare evolves with you!

Yes, it absolutely is! At MAI Skin we focus on the most important element of skincare – delivering the active ingredients that genuinely transform your skin.
Our MAI Trio set is the heart of your personalised routine. These three product types were chosen because they have the greatest potential for individual customisation, and they are what primarily drive the results you’ll achieve:
- Toning Essence – preparation phase: restores balance and primes the skin so it can fully benefit from the active ingredients in the formulas that follow.
- Day Formula – daytime care: delivers targeted active ingredients, hydration and the support skin needs to be protected and to function during the day.
- Night Formula – nighttime care: supports the skin’s natural repair and regeneration processes, delivering active ingredients that work on individual skin concerns while you sleep.
Other products used in your daily routine (such as cleansers or SPF protection), while important for hygiene and protection, do not require advanced personalisation.
We chose not to include them in the set, to avoid unnecessarily raising its price and to focus all our energy and budget on personalising what matters most – the active phases of skincare.
As a result you get a maximally effective, personalised system, sufficient to transform your skin – without overpaying for what you can buy anywhere.
We build your skincare around the MAI Trio – a personalised set of three products tailored to the results of your skin analysis. The other products in our range are universal and act as an optional complement to your base plan.
So we offer two types of products:
- Personalised – our flagship is the three-piece MAI Trio set (toning essence, day formula and night formula). It is designed to deliver everything your skin needs in the smallest possible number of steps. It forms a complete skincare base, sufficient for everyday needs.
- Universal – we also offer a small selection of universal complementary cosmetics, compatible with your personalised set and acting as its extension. These include, for example, an SPF protective cream, cleansing or makeup-removal products.
Over time, as we get to know your skin and you progress in your skincare journey, the number of personalised products available to you will grow. We’ll let you know whenever new products are developed for you.

MAI Skin Toning Essence
- Spray from the applicator onto cleansed face and neck skin and pat in with your fingers – this stimulates microcirculation and improves absorption of subsequent products.
- Use morning and evening before applying the MAI formulas.
MAI Skin Day Formula
- Apply in the morning after cleansing and toning.
- Spread a small amount (the size of a pea) evenly over clean, dry face and neck skin. Massage in for about 1–2 minutes until absorbed.
MAI Skin Night Formula
- Apply in the evening after cleansing and toning.
- Spread a small amount (the size of a pea) evenly over clean, dry face and neck skin. Massage in for about 1–2 minutes until absorbed.
It typically lasts about 8 weeks of daily use, although this depends on individual usage. If you need a faster shipment of your next set, please contact us at help@maiskin.pl.
The personalised Day Formula in your set does not contain an SPF filter. We recommend using a separate sun-protection product.
We deliberately decided not to combine an SPF filter with our Day Formula, for several important reasons:
- Not everyone needs the same SPF protection every day. Depending on the season, sun exposure, skin type and even activity, we need different levels of protection.
- Adding high SPF to your day formula would require compromises in other aspects of the formulation, which could lower its effectiveness in its core skincare role.
- The actual SPF level of a sunscreen matches the manufacturer’s claim only when applied frequently (about every 3 hours) and in a substantial amount.
We want to give you the freedom to choose the SPF that’s ideal for you – one you can adapt to current conditions and needs and easily reapply throughout the day, without having to reapply your main skincare product. This way you have full control over sun protection, which is crucial for skin health.
In our complementary product range you’ll find a universal SPF50 sunscreen designed to work with the personalised MAI Trio sets.
You can buy our personalised cosmetics exclusively through our website or our mobile app.
Our sets are individually tailored based on a detailed analysis of your skin and the data from your consultation. This isn’t an off-the-shelf solution that could be sold in a drugstore. To deliver the best results, we want to control 100% of the personalisation process – from identifying your skin’s needs, through formula selection, to producing the final formula and delivering the cosmetics to your door.
Moreover, by skipping intermediaries (drugstores, distributors), we eliminate their high margins. This lets us offer more value in the price of our products – value that comes from personalisation and from the quality of ingredients and formulas.
Information about what you will (and will not) find in our formulas, and our approach to safety and ethical production.
We care about effectiveness and, at the same time, a high standard of safety, which is why our formulas are free of many controversial substances. Unfortunately, not every synthetic ingredient can be replaced by a purely natural one without reducing the formula’s effectiveness.
In our cosmetics you won’t find, among others: parabens, SLS/SLES, mineral oils, phthalates, formaldehyde, methylisothiazolinone (MIT) or palm oil.
We try to stay as close as possible to the “clean beauty” idea, without sacrificing the effectiveness of our skincare, which remains our priority.
After completing the MAI Skin Analysis and before confirming your order, you always have full transparency over the composition – you’ll see the full list of ingredients (INCI) of the formulas chosen for you. If you have concerns about any substance, you can always contact us before placing your order.
Our algorithms take skin sensitivity into account. If you fill in our consultation honestly, we’ll select suitably gentle ingredients. If you have any concerns, we recommend a short patch test:
- Apply a small amount of the cosmetic to the inside of your elbow or wrist.
- Wait at least 24 hours.
- If you don’t see any redness or reaction, you can safely use the product on your face.
No. Our cosmetics are cruelty-free. We neither perform nor commission any animal testing.
We prefer packaging made of lightweight, recyclable plastic to avoid the risk of breakage in the bathroom and to reduce the carbon footprint of transport.

No cream is a magic cure – results require patience and consistency. That’s why we give you not only the cosmetics, but also support for using them regularly and caring for your skin via our app.
Skin usually needs about 30 days (the full epidermal renewal cycle averages 28 days) to fully adapt to new cosmetics, but positive effects should be visible after just a few days.
Depending on the formulation of the products in your set, when starting a new routine some people may experience intensive skin clearing (so-called purging). This happens because some active ingredients can speed up the shedding of dead skin cells and bring impurities, blackheads and sebum to the surface. During this time you may see a temporary worsening of skin condition. Once the clearing phase is over, the skin should be healthier, cleaner and smoother.
Our products are not medicines and do not replace specialist dermatological treatment. If you have a more serious problem, it’s best to consult a doctor. In simpler cases, our personalised formulas may help with, for example, dryness, mild discoloration, a tendency to imperfections or uneven skin tone.
For regulatory reasons MAI Skin does not diagnose skin disease. We are also in no way an alternative to medical advice.
We believe in our products as a first line of skincare supporting various skin conditions, but if you have any doubts, always consult a doctor.
We explain how our unique Satisfaction Guarantee works, and when and how you can return products.
The Satisfaction Guarantee covers personalised products only – including the MAI Trio set.
Our mission is to find the cosmetics and skincare that are right for you. If, despite systematically using your MAI Trio set and skincare plan for 30 days, you don’t see satisfactory results – we won’t leave you alone with the problem. We offer a two-step Satisfaction Guarantee:
- Free reformulation.
Write to us at help@maiskin.pl – you have 45 days from the date of purchase. We’ll analyse your feedback and prepare new, adjusted formulas for some or all elements of your set, which we’ll send to you free of charge as a replacement.
- Refund.
If after another 30 days of using the new formulas your skin still doesn’t respond as it should – we’ll refund the cost of the products once you’ve sent them back.
Important – conditions for using the Satisfaction Guarantee
To benefit from a free replacement or refund under the Satisfaction Guarantee you must keep a regular skincare diary – logging daily activities and quizzes in the MAI Skin app for 30 days at each stage of the Guarantee.
Why? Skin needs time to adapt and regenerate – the full epidermal renewal cycle averages 28 days, which is why we ask for around 30 days of consistent use to be sure the products had a chance to work. Furthermore, to effectively adjust your plan and formulas (reformulation) we rely, among other things, on data from the MAI Skin app. Your consistency and activity make this possible.
Refunded amounts do not include shipping costs and any customs duties. Free gifts are not eligible for return or free reformulation.

Under our Satisfaction Guarantee policy you can contact us within 45 days of purchase and ask for a change of composition (free reformulation), or – if that turns out to be insufficient – for a refund. Details in the Terms & Conditions.
If you’re not fully satisfied, write to us within 45 days of purchase. If the conditions of our Satisfaction Guarantee are met, we’ll propose a new formula. Our team of experts is available at help@maiskin.pl.
We do not accept returns of cosmetics whose sealed unit packaging has been opened or its seal broken. This is to protect your health and that of other customers.
Please note that the personalised MAI Trio set is treated as a single contract item. If the seal or protective film of even one product in the set is broken, you lose the right to return the entire set.
For other products (in undamaged condition):
- undamaged universal products,
- accessories,
- gift cards before activation
– the deadline for withdrawal from a distance contract is 14 days.
Opening the sealed unit packaging excludes the right of return for hygiene reasons.
Free gifts are not eligible for return.

Everything you need to know about placing an order, your user account and delivery of your cosmetics.
Creating an account (registration) is required to carry out personalisation and tailor your MAI Trio set to your individual skin needs. Otherwise, we cannot process the information you share with us during the consultation.
For universal products available in our shop, you do not need an account to make a purchase.
We ship our products to all EU countries: Poland, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Spain, the Netherlands, Ireland, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Latvia, Malta, Germany, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden, Hungary and Italy.
After you place an order, we need about 2–3 days to personalise the formulas of your set. In Poland, orders typically arrive 3–5 days after purchase, and in other countries within 4 to 7 days. When your products are ready to ship, you’ll receive a shipping notification.
Shipping for MAI Trio sets within the EU is free.
For other products, when the order value is below PLN 250, a shipping fee is added according to the delivery option chosen at checkout.
If your order hasn’t yet been fully processed, we can help with possible changes such as a change of shipping address, delaying the shipment, etc. Please contact us at help@maiskin.pl.
We are unable to change or refund the cost of products that have already been paid for.
Remember that if the results of using our skincare sets don’t meet your expectations, we can change your formulas or refund your money under our Satisfaction Guarantee policy.

You can cancel your subscription at any time.
With a one-time purchase, you buy the product once – you pay once and receive your cosmetics.
If you want to change your subscription settings or cancel it altogether, you can do so in the “My subscriptions” section after logging in to your account at www.maiskin.pl, or in the MAI Skin app under Settings / My subscriptions.
You can also write to us at help@maiskin.pl – describe the changes you’d like to make and our team will be happy to help.
You can cancel your subscription at any time, but please note that cancelling does not automatically cancel orders that are already being processed. Changes or cancellation must take place before the automatic renewal of the subscription – otherwise the order will be fulfilled on the previous terms.

Yes, your data is safe with us. When processing sensitive user data – including information about your skin and health, and biometric data from your photo – we comply with all applicable EU regulations (GDPR). All personal data is processed and stored with a high level of security and is not shared with third parties. It is used solely for the purpose to which you’ve consented – preparing skincare and product recommendations tailored to your skin’s needs.
